::Take Up A Course In Happiness::

Living in a major metropolitan city like NYC can take a toll on one's sanity. With general congestion and constant hustle and bustle abound, everybody feels the need to seek refuge from time to time. There are a few upcoming events that just might satiate your longing for inner serenity. NYCMeditation.org is holding its fourth round of free meditation instruction events in Manhattan on Sunday, May 17th (6-9PM) and Tuesday, May 19th (7:30-9:30PM). For more info, go here.

In addition, the Dalai Lama will be making his annual pilgrimage to NYC in May over the course of two separate events. On May 3rd, former president of Ireland Mary Robinson will hold a conversation with the Dalai Lama at Town Hall. The subject of this event is entitled "Wisdom and Compassion for Challenging Times." Click here for more information. On May 4th, the Dalai Lama will give a teaching entitled "The Quintessence of Compassion," organized by The Tibet House at The New Beacon Theatre. Tickets are available here.

"Transcendental meditation gives you peace of mind."
-Stevie Wonder (1973)
