::Kick game::

Even though I've been known to spit that anti-sweatshop, "down with the exploitive, multinational corporation" rhetoric every now and then, I'm feeling very vain and consumerist right about now. I've been hounding these kicks since I missed their initial launch last summer and I'm putting out an all points bulletin. Feast your eyes on these joints:

Ladies and gentlemen, say hello to the
Say It LOUD! Nike iD Air Force 1.

Released on June 23rd, 2007 exclusively at the Elizabeth Street Nike iD store in NYC, these are one of very few Air Force 1's that Nike iD has ever produced. It was rumored that they were mass produced and sold at a few select spots, but I haven't been able to confirm this.

Though I've mostly phased out of sneaker culture since I graduated from high school, I still find myself lusting after certain kicks. Even though I have more than enough to last me a lifetime. Even though boxes of kicks still spill out of my closet every time I open the door.

It makes me feel a little better that these were designed by the Brooklyn-based organization they were named after. Nike iD also cuts Say It LOUD! a portion of the profits from the sales of these kicks. Don't that make you feel all warm and toasty inside? I mean...I wouldn't be able to live with myself knowing my kicks were manufactured like this:

At any rate, Say It LOUD! Magazine is a socially redeeming alternative to so-called hood-zines like Don Diva, Felon, and FEDS.

By featuring thought provoking articles and interviews with contemporary recording artists, Say It LOUD!'s target teen audience can learn feasible solutions to problems plaguing the Black and Latino community. Here's a link to the site of the parent organization, Eye & I, Inc.

Posts on Ebay, iOffer, and Craigslist have proved unsuccessful thus far. But I have faith.

I know that some of y'all sneaker fiends can unearth a pair of these for me. Give it the old college try.

I did, however, find a pair of fakes. But I felt they were too obvious. You tell me:

Would you rock these as a last resort?

Don't hesitate to hit me up if you find these...anywhere.
