:.:Q-Tip::Knitting Factory, NYC::Sept. 29::FREE SHOW:.:

Looks like The Abstract is finally releasing the follow up to his 1999 solo debut Amplified. Just got word that Tip is doing a free show on the 29th at the Knitting Factory to preview and celebrate the release of his album The Renaissance this fall. I hate this venue. Scroll down a few posts for reference. But I'll be there nevertheless. All you have to do is text the words QTIP to 66937 and you should get a reply text saying that you're in there like swimwear.

Maybe he'll have some guests in store. Wink-wink, nod-nod. Check the Knitting Factory site for more info.

BTW...in case you haven't seen the video for his new single "Gettin' Up," here you go:

That show as off the hook. Q tore it up and Busta came out and blew the place down. It was sick! hate the place? I love that place! I just saw Q-tip and Busta with like 200 people. Arab Dance was crazy. We are going to be breaking that out every night!

Yeah, that show was dope. It's one of the perks of being in NYC: we get treated to a lot of free shit being that we're one of the preeminent test markets in the world. The text message RSVP thing was a first for me, but cool nonetheless. "Arab Money" was kinda hot. Reminded me of "React" by Erick Sermon. My homegirl was itching to make it her ringtone. Its been leaked online. Glad you had as much fun as we did. Pause.
